Jiangshan-made badminton shuttlecock sales take off globally
Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, is a significant hub for badminton shuttlecock production in the country, accounting for nearly two-thirds of the nation's total output.
Over the past two decades, Jiangshan has upgraded its shuttlecock manufacturing industry. Its market has expanded beyond domestic borders to include 43 countries and regions, including South Korea, the United States, Canada, and Australia.
According to Quzhou Customs, Jiangshan exported badminton shuttlecocks worth 118 million yuan ($16.50 million) in the first seven months of the year, representing a 20.87 percent increase year-on-year.

At a production workshop operated by manufacturer Zhejiang Jiangshan Duojiao Industrial Company based in Jiangshan, workers were recently busy with quality inspections, counting, packaging, and preparing shuttlecocks for export to South Korea.
Wu Weixing, head of Jiangshan Duojiao, said that the group has developed new markets in Southeast Asia with the guidance from Quzhou Customs.
With robust international orders and smooth domestic processes in the frame, the business is expected to export 1.5 million dozen shuttlecocks this year, he added.
Wu also highlighted that the company has completed customs protection registration for its key brands, including Jiang Shan Yan and Laisicar.
