The Quzhou Ancient City Cultural Tourism Zone, located in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, was abuzz with fun and frivolity on the evening of Aug 22, when the "Boating in Zhejiang" Zhejiang Provincial Boating Day took place.

The event marked the launch of the waterway sightseeing route in the Quzhou Ancient City Cultural Tourism Zone.

The route in the zone features two passages that pass through attractions like Poetry Park and run on Xin'an Lake. Residents and tourists can board boats at Shuitingmen Wharf to enjoy the vibrant cityscape from the water.

The event also launched 13 top waterway tourism routes in Zhejiang and offered special promotions, further boosting the region's tourism appeal.

Zhejiang boasts abundant water tourism resources. In recent years, the integration of water tourism and leisure water sports has flourished there.

The tourism brand Boating in Zhejiang, launched on April 28, signifies a new era of branded and systematic development for Zhejiang's waterway tourism.

The Boating Day events, pivotal to the brand, involve 11 cities in Zhejiang and blend waterway sightseeing, cultural experiences, and water sports.
