Foreign companies explore Chinese market in Yiwu

Companies from abroad are seeking opportunities for business cooperation at the 2018 China Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair in Yiwu, the world's largest commodity distribution hub in East China's Zhejiang province from May 6 to 9.
Themed on "Advance Opening-up and Innovation, Sharing Global Resources", the fair attracts a total of 1,512 enterprises and organizations from over 100 countries and regions of five continents.
With an area of 40,000 square meters and 1,600 standard booths, the four-day event has four grand halls featuring consumer goods from different countries, including artware, household articles, apparel accessories, food and beverage, etc.
The Czech Republic is the guest country of honor of this year's fair. An assortment of trade and cultural activities showcasing the charm of this ancient civilization in central Europe are held on the sideline.
"The Chinese commodity market is on the rise along with its demand on imported products. We have great expectations for the Chinese market," said an official from the Czech Republic.
Being successfully held for three consecutive years, the China Yiwu Imported Commodities Fair has attracted over 5,000 foreign enterprises and millions of exhibitors and visitors from around the world. It serves as an important trade platform for overseas companies to enter the Chinese market.
