Founded in 1982, Yiwu No 2 High School covers 7.1 hectares and is one of the first-class key middle schools in Zhejiang province. 

The school offers more than 160 elective courses, including 10 courses at municipal level and two at provincial level.

It gained many good results in sports and art. Its male table tennis team has won team championship several times in provincial competitions. There are many students enrolled each year at the China Academy of Art, Beijing Film Academy and Beijing Sport University. 

The school has won lots of honorary titles such as National First Batch of Modern Educational Technology Experimental School, Experimental School of the National Research Center of Foreign Language Education, National Chinese Promotion Base and Provincial Educational Base for Overseas Students.
