Founded in July 1952, the Second People’s Hospital of Yiwu (Fotang Central Health Center) in southwestern Yiwu is a grade II class B general hospital integrating medical care, emergency treatment, scientific research, education, disease prevention and rehabilitation.

Covering 44,666 square meters, the hospital has 300 beds, 20 health service centers, and 48 clinics across Fotang town. Of its 524 employees, 365 are regular workers. Among them, 155 have obtained intermediate and senior professional titles and six hold master’s degrees in clinical medicine.

There are 11 functional departments, 18 clinical departments, six medical technology offices, seven wards and 27 outpatient departments.

At present, the hospital’s rehabilitation medicine is the key specialty of Yiwu, while its respiratory and emergency services are municipal level key specialties and its gastroenterology and anorectology are hospital-level key specialties.

The hospital is equipped with facilities in line with the standards of a grade II class A general hospital. It has imported spiral CT scanners, electronic gastrointestinal endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, panoramic dental film machine, imported anesthesia machines, ventilators, pulmonary function instruments, Stryker laparoscopy, automatic biochemical analyzers and endoscopic ultrasonography.
