Yiwu fifth in business environment ranking
Yiwu in Zhejiang province, the world's top wholesale market for small commodities, ranked fifth in China's top 100 counties in terms of business environment, according to a Nov 12 report released by CCID Consulting, a leading Chinese think tank under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The report is the latest on Chinese counties' business environment, comprehensively accessing 14 indexes regarding government publicity, enterprise vitality, business promotion measures, fundamental facilities, and ecological environment.
The report listed 100 major Chinese counties and county-level cities with the highest composite index points.
The county-level city of Yiwu has consistently been dedicated to improving its business environment.
As of mid-September, the city has simplified 411 application procedures, canceled 270 certification materials, and increased the ratio of successful online applications to a record high of 91 percentage points.
By the end of July, the number has seen a 7 percent year-on-year growth, with investments from over 120 counties and regions.
Within this year, the number of foreign-invested market entities is expected to exceed 8,000, according to the commerce bureau.
