Yiwu sees tourism growth during holiday

Yiwu in East China's Zhejiang province received around 1.14 million tourists during the eight-day National Day holiday this year, generating 780 million yuan ($116.22 million) in revenue, according to local authorities on Oct 9.
Known as "the world's supermarket", the Yiwu International Trade Market was the most popular destination and received over 615,400 tourists from home and abroad.
Meanwhile, another 420,000 tourists chose countryside routes which Yiwu has been developing in recent years.
A total of 10 featured routes in Chi'an, Fotang, and Dachen towns have each attracted over 1 billion yuan in investment. Famous attractions include old streets in Fotang ancient town, the flower sea in Chi'an, and Dragon Mountain in the forest of Dachen town.
