Yiwu in Zhejiang province won the 2020 Golden Panda Award at the third China Convention and Exhibition Industry International Trade Forum (CEIITF), held during the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on Nov 6.

The heavy-weight awards were granted to seven regions, namely Shanghai, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, Xi'an, Nanjing, Yiwu, Aershan, and Tianfu New Area in Chengdu, with Yiwu being the only county-level winner in the list.

The third CEIITF was approved by the Ministry of Commerce and jointly hosted by the World Trade Point Federation and the Associazione Esposizioni e Fiere Italiane to serve as the only supporting forum and offer exhibition activities for the expo.

Over 200 representatives from foreign consulates, Chinese embassies, CIIE exhibitors, and the world's top 500 multinationals attended the forum.

From Jan 1 to Nov 4, Yiwu has organized 26 national and international fairs and launched 12 online expos. The fairs and expos attracted over 100 million visitors to the city and 2.08 million watches on the internet.
