Yiwu, Liandu deepen investment promotions cooperation
The project of Liandu Building, to be built in the Silk Road New Area in Yiwu – a county-level city administered by Jinhua city in East China's Zhejiang province – is expected to help provide a major boost in investment promotions between Liandu district in Lishui city and Yiwu, local officials said at the launch ceremony on Nov 30.
The Liandu Building is a joint development between Liandu and Yiwu. Officials said it is one of the practical results of inner-provincial collaboration initiated by the Zhejiang government, which enables developed areas to help relatively less-developed areas.
The Liandu Building, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($228.1 million), will be constructed by Liandu Urban and Rural Construction Investment Co Ltd and construction is expected to finish by the end of 2024.
After completion, the building will focus on attracting companies in strategic emerging industries – including the information economy, advanced manufacturing and bio-medicine – by providing a platform for Lishui enterprises to start a business in Yiwu.
Officials say that Liandu and Yiwu will give full play to their respective advantages and broaden cooperation in industries, social undertakings and people's livelihoods.
