People with disabilities in Yiwu have ushered in a new career of live streaming, thanks to support from a local charity organization named "Loving Home for People with Disabilities".

The organization has helped more than 30 people become live streaming hosts, according to Gong Aizhen, director of the organization.

A recently-held live streaming activity hosted by the special group also promoted the sale of more than 1,000 kilograms of pears for Chen Wujun, a local farmer with a disability.

"I've made lots of friends through live streaming, which has enriched my life," said a host surnamed Xiaoqin.

Xiaoqin is in her 20s and started learning to live stream in May. She has already attracted thousands of followers due to her superb singing voice and cheerful personality.

Every morning from Monday to Friday, she visits the "loving home" to learn about live streaming and does her own live streaming at night markets.

The city's disabled persons' federation has offered a mobile cube for Xiaoqin and her counterparts so that they can continue to live stream even in bad weather.

"Although my sales performance is far from being good, I believe I can improve through hard work and eventually earn a living independently," Xiaoqin said.
