Foreign trade volume for East China's Zhejiang province was 3.38 trillion yuan ($522.89 billion) in 2020, up 9.6 percent over the previous year, accounting for 10.5 percent of the national aggregate, according to latest statistics from customs authorities.
This was the first time the province's annual trade volume hit 10 percent of the national aggregate. Zhejiang's national shares for imports and exports also hit record highs in 2020.
Zhejiang was the top contributor to the country's annual growth in foreign trade (imports and exports combined) and exports among all Chinese provincial-level regions.
