To celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival which falls on Feb 12 this year, the Yiwu Wuju Opera Preservation and Promotion Center is set to stage 40 Wuju Opera performances from Feb 12 to March 17, according to local media reports.

All the performances will take place at the Yiwu Theatre – located in Yiwu city in East China's Zhejiang province – and a classic masterpiece of Wuju Opera, Five Daughters Offering Felicitation, will hit the stage on Feb 12.

The performing troupe at the Yiwu Wuju Opera Preservation and Promotion Center has more than 100 opera artists.

Yiwu was among the six county-level recipients of the title of "Home of Zhejiang's Traditional Operas" awarded by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism in October 2020.
