The Yiwu-Dongyang Bridge, which spans the Dongyang River and connects Niansanli sub-district in Yiwu with Baiyun sub-district in Dongyang, opened to traffic on July 18, following a nine-month renovation of an old bridge formerly named the Hezhai Bridge.

Yiwu and Dongyang are both county-level cities affiliated to the prefecture-level city of Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province.

The new bridge, measuring 235 meters in length and 25 meters in width, was jointly invested in by the Yiwu and Dongyang municipal governments in an effort to better serve the increasing volume of vehicles travelling between the two cities. The bridge has two motorways and two bicycle lanes operating on opposite directions.

On April 15, the Yiwu and Dongyang municipal governments signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to accelerate their integrated development. They are planning on building another bridge that connects Kaiyuan South Street in Yiwu and Kunxi Road in Dongyang.
