On Sept 2, the Zhejiang Administration for Market Regulation released statistics regarding the operation of the digital "Zhejiang Food Takeaway Online" platform, which supervises dining businesses and food delivery riders.

Launched in July, the platform has connected 293,000 restaurants and 353,000 delivery riders across the province to date, boosting the government's management efficiency in food safety, consumer rights, as well as labor protection issues.

Zhejiang authorities have accelerated their pace in applying various digital platforms into a wide range of social governance scenarios since they held a digitization reform conference in February.
