The 14th National Games concluded in Xi'an, Shaanxi province on Sept 27. Team Zhejiang, which consisted of 675 athletes, won 44 gold, 35 silver, and 37 bronze medals in a total of 28 sports at the Games.

Zhejiang athletes were particularly successful in aquatic sports like swimming, yachting, windsurfing, and canoeing, claiming a total of 27 gold medals. In particular, Zhejiang swimmers won 16 gold medals, far eclipsing any other provincial team.

The six Zhejiang gold medalists at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which concluded on Aug 8, won 11 gold medals and one bronze medal at the 14th National Games.
