Jinhua simplifies administrative service procedures for foreigners
Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province has launched an online platform for foreigners that helps simplify procedures and reduce waiting time.
The online platform integrates 37 administrative services such as birth registration, vaccination, marriage registration, school enrollment and business registration for foreigners.
Among those who have benefited from the platform is John, a British national, who received his work and residence permits within just five days courtesy of the integrated service window at the administrative service center.
Foreigners previously needed to apply for a work permit from the Jinhua science and technology bureau before they could apply for a residence permit at the exit-entry administration bureau of the Jinhua public security bureau. This process could take up to about 17 working days to complete.
The city said that it will continue to optimize the management of online administrative services and further promote digital reform so as to offer greater convenience and more efficient services to foreigners who want to start businesses, work or live in Jinhua.
