Jinhua sees well-rounded and robust development
Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, has made significant achievements in 2021.
From January to November last year, the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the city reached 107.5 billion yuan ($16.89 billion), up 22.5 percent year-on-year. The city's fixed asset investment increased by 14.5 percent year-on-year. The city's total imports and exports were valued at 536.72 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 20.5 percent.
As an important part of the Belt and Road Initiative, the annual number of Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight trains in Jinhua accounted for more than 60 percent of the Yangtze River Delta and more than 11 percent of China's total. In 2021, a total of 1,901 Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight trains were opened, a year-on-year increase of 35.9 percent.
From January to November 2021, agreements for 168 projects with more than 300 million yuan each in investment were signed in the city, a year-on-year growth of 22.63 percent. Forty-two projects worth more than 2 billion yuan each were signed, up 31.25 percent year-on-year.
In addition, Jinyi new district in Jinhua is launching a new era of urban rail transit. On Jan 11, it carried out free test rides on the Jinhua-Yiwu section of the rail.
Construction on the Jinhua Yiwu International Airport is being planned as well.
