Yiwu releases government work report

The Yiwu municipal government on Jan 24 delivered a report containing the city's achievements in 2021 and its economic development goals in 2022 at the annual session of the Yiwu Municipal People's Congress.

The county-level city's GDP rose 11.6 percent year-on-year to 173 billion yuan ($27.33 billion) in 2021.

The per capita disposable income of the city's urban and rural residents in 2021 grew 8.1 percent and 9.4 percent respectively from the year before.

The city's above-designated-sized companies posted the highest growth rate for industrial value-added among all Zhejiang cities last year.

The city's exports surged 21.7 percent while its imports soared by 95.3 percent last year.

The city's GDP growth rate is expected to hit 8 percent in 2022.
