Yiwu to host e-commerce expo in April

The China International Electronic Commerce Expo 2022 is scheduled to be held at the Yiwu International Expo Center from April 11 to 13, according to the expo organizer's recent announcement.

The expo is set to showcase the latest achievements in e-commerce-related technologies and services as well as the integrated development of the entire industrial chain ranging from e-commerce platforms, providers of financial services, express delivery services, technical support, and data services, to premium online stores.

The expo will be jointly hosted by the China International Electronic Commerce Center (CIECC), the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC), the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Yiwu municipal government.

The expo will take up over 50,000 square meters in exhibition area and accommodate 2,300 international-standard booths in eight exhibition zones - digital trade, well-known e-commerce platforms, cross-border e-commerce, demonstration enterprises and pilot zones for e-commerce, e-commerce service providers, livestream e-commerce, e-commerce in rural regions, and supply chains for consumer brands.

The number of visitors to the expo is expected to be in excess of 150,000.

To date, the expo has recruited 634 exhibitors from 19 provincial-level regions in China and foreign countries like the United States, Russia, South Korea, and Singapore. These exhibitors will showcase their products in 1,254 booths.

The inaugural edition of the expo, which was held in the same venue in April 2021, saw 1.23 billion yuan ($193.85 million) worth of intended deals clinched.
