Zhejiang advances common prosperity in civil affairs
On Feb 15, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Civil Affairs held a work conference to describe how common prosperity was pursued in the province's civil affairs over the past year.
The province's registered population facing financial difficulties stood at 788,500 at the end of 2021. The government subsidy to help those in need is 10,632 yuan ($1,678) per person per year, higher than that in any other province in China.
There are an average of 18.2 nurses per 10,000 senior citizens in Zhejiang, and each county-level region has at least one state-owned nursing home that has fully adopted intelligent technologies.
As of the end of 2021, Zhejiang was home to 1,251 registered charitable organizations, the second highest among all provincial-level regions.
