Yiwu JA Solar Co has been included on the list of "Doctorate Researchers Innovation Stations in Zhejiang", which was recently published by the Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology.

These stations were established to facilitate long-term cooperation between doctoral researchers and industrial enterprises to deliver technological breakthroughs and serve the needs of enterprises.

In March 2020, JA Solar, a world-leading manufacturer of high-performance photovoltaic products, signed a 10.2-billion-yuan ($15.8 billion) investment agreement with the Yiwu government to build a factory in the city-Yiwu JA Solar Co- and meet the growing demands of the photovoltaic industry.

The factory, which started mass production in January 2021, has the world's largest photovoltaic module workshop (it is the size of 10 soccer fields) as well as the world's largest smart stereoscopic warehouse with the highest tonnage in the photovoltaic industry.

Yiwu JA Solar Co saw both its output value and operating revenue surpass 10 billion yuan in 2021.

It also established a research and development center for solar cell technologies last year, which has introduced a research team of several doctorate researchers from China Jiliang University.
