Manufacturing equipment expo concludes in Yiwu

The Zhejiang Yiwu International Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Expo, which was held only through the expo's official website in view of the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Zhejiang province, concluded on March 17.
The online expo showcased 2,300 products from nearly 800 exhibitors and was visited more than 450,000 times.
The opening ceremony for the expo, held via video link on March 15, was watched by 1.56 million individuals.
The expo includes a dedicated exhibition zone for the United Nations' procurement, helping Chinese enterprises learn about the characteristics, rules, and procedures of UN procurement for self-use, maintaining peace, humanitarian aid, and other purposes.
It also includes a number of online business matchmaking events for the intelligent equipment, machine tools, and plastic molding sectors, leading to 1,100 business negotiations between 300 exhibitors and numerous buyers both at home and abroad, with their intended deals exceeding 200 million yuan ($31.44 million) in value.
