A total of 122 enterprises based in Yiwu, Zhejiang province will attend the online event of the 131st session of the China Import and Export Fair from April 15 to April 24.

The 131st China Import and Export Fair, better known as the Canton Fair, will be held to boost global trade and China's dual circulation development paradigm, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

With more than 25,000 overseas and domestic exhibitors, the fair will feature 16 categories of goods varying from consumer goods to manufacturing machinery during the 10-day event, the ministry said in an online statement.

Yiwu companies have prepared thoroughly by building virtual-reality exhibition booths, planning livestreaming sales, and shooting promotional videos to better showcase themselves and their products at the fair.

Huahong Group, a leader in Yiwu's home decoration industry, has set up three live broadcast rooms covering more than 1,600 square meters for the fair. About 600 new products in over 10 categories will be launched online.

Zhang Ziou, director of sales at Zhejiang Tinart Household Products Co, a subsidiary of Huahong Group, said they have arranged livestreams based on targeted groups and time differences. Buyers can also visit their online exhibition area to order the latest products directly.

The China Import and Export Fair started in 1957 and is the country's oldest and largest comprehensive trade fair with the largest number of overseas buyers and types of products, according to information from the ministry.
