4 Yiwu companies pilot intelligent manufacturing

Four enterprises based in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province were among the first group of companies to trial the digital transformation and upgrading of industrial intelligent manufacturing in the city in 2022, according to local media outlets.

Yiwu Jianheng Building Materials Co, Zhejiang Hengwei Zipper Co, and Yiwu Haosheng New Materials Co will develop digital workshops, while Zhejiang Truelove Blanket Technology Co will carry out intelligent manufacturing in its factory in Suxi town, Yiwu.

Yiwu Jianheng Building Materials Co will spend 8 million yuan building new industrial internet infrastructure, which is expected to increase overall efficiency by 10 percent and reduce labor costs by 5 percent.

Zhejiang Hengwei Zipper Co will spend 18.13 million yuan building a digital zipper workshop, the annual output of which is expected to reach 50 million zippers, while reducing labor costs by 70 percent and saving energy by 20 percent.

Yiwu Haosheng New Materials Co will spend 6.25 million yuan upgrading its digital workshop to reduce labor costs, mechanical investment and carbon emissions.

With investment totaling 839 million yuan, the annual output of Zhejiang Truelove Blanket Technology Co's Suxi smart factory is expected to increase from 24,000 tons to 60,000 tons, while reducing operating costs by 37 percent of and shortening its research and development period by over 44 percent.

For intelligent production equipment for intelligent manufacturing and industrial digital transformation and upgrading projects, Yiwu will give subsidies of up to 10 million yuan and pay up to 20 percent of the actual investment.
