Yiwu in East China's Zhejiang province launched a new flight to Foshan, South China's Guangdong province, on May 20.
The flight is operated by China United Airlines in Boeing B737-700/800 and will be available once a day.
Foshan is an important manufacturing city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Its industrial output value ranks fifth in the country after Shanghai, Suzhou, Tianjin and Shenzhen.
The Yiwu-Foshan airline is the Yiwu Airport's fifth flight connecting cities in Guangdong province, after the flights to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Jieyang. It is expected to further promote cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between Yiwu and the Greater Bay Area.
In addition, the Yiwu Airport plans to resume flights to and from Beijing on May 23. Passengers with travel plans must stay up to date on the latest epidemic prevention and control policies in their destination city and on the status of their flight.
