Yiwu to pilot national plan for youth development
Yiwu, a county-level city of Jinhua, East China's Zhejiang province, was recently listed as a pilot for the national plan for medium- and long-term development of young people.
The listed cities and counties cover 31 province and cities throughout the country, which will work to support youth development for two years.
The pilots are required to formulate local plans for youth development based on local conditions, establish a joint meeting mechanism for youth-related work, and roll out policies in response to young people's actual demands.
Local authorities will also adopt supporting measures, conduct surveys on young people and establish a proper evaluation of policies targeting young people in these pilots.
Yiwu launched its first plan for the development of young people this year. The plan focuses on youth housing security, employment and entrepreneurship, further improving the policy system of youth development and introducing and revising a number of policies related to youth development.
