The Yiwu notary office made the first online notarization of the declaration for a Chinese citizen surnamed Wang living in Sweden on June 16.

The video notarization was initiated by Wang, who needed a notarization of property disposal and was unable to come back to China due to the COVID-19 epidemic. So he applied for an online notarization at the Yiwu notary office.

With the help of the Yiwu foreign affairs office, the Yiwu notary office and the Chinese Consulate General in Gothenburg, Wang handled his affairs in about 30 minutes. He thanked all the workers for providing help.

In May 5, the Yiwu notary office was listed as one of the first pilot institutions in China to cooperate with 65 embassies and consulates abroad to provide online notarization services.
