Shuangqiao Caidao Park, located in Chi'an town, Yiwu, has become a popular rural tourism destination providing wonderful natural views and information on rice cultivation.
The park covers over 590 mu (39.33 hectares), among which over 100 mu are covered with paintings made by colored rice. Inside the park are rice education areas, a rice and fish ecological park, and a fishing area and fruit and vegetable picking area.
In addition, three 88-meter-long frames of Chinese wistaria have been built to attract visitors. Children can take a small train on a 150-meter track to tour the park.
Feng Xiangwei, director of the park, said the park is popular among families on weekends. September is the best time to visit, and about 2,000 visitors can be seen at the park each day.
Feng added that rural tourism has greatly increased the industrial added value of the rice fields. They will continue to promote the high-quality development of agriculture and improve the living environment in rural areas.
