Yiwu's 3 fairs to get provincial support
Three annual trade expos held in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, will receive support from the Zhejiang Provincial Commerce Department, according to the department's latest announcement on July 6.
According to officials, holding exhibitions is an important way to expand the international and domestic market, which is the province's top business priority every year.
The latest list of the provincial exhibition catalogue aims to promote the integrated development of trade in goods and services and strives to expand the influence of made-in-Zhejiang products and the province's services in trade.
Yiwu hosted the first China Yiwu International Commodities (Standards) Fair in 1995, aiming to promote the mutual benefits and reciprocity of trade and fairs. The city has also been recognized as "China's Most Influential City for Exhibitions".
As the COVID-19 epidemic situation stabilizes, Yiwu will host three annual trade fairs to promote economic recovery.
The 28th China Yiwu International Commodities (Standards) Fair will be held at the Yiwu International Expo Center from Oct 21 to 24.
