Yiwu's 2 public cultural venues win provincial recognition

Two places in Yiwu recently made the list of the most beautiful public cultural venues in Zhejiang province. Fifty places across the province won the honor.

Nanmen Street Branch of Yiwu Library

The Nanmen Street Branch of Yiwu Library, located in the city's downtown, is popular among local residents with strong transportation infrastructure, a quiet and beautiful environment and a reasonable layout. The library receives more than 180,000 readers annually.

It focuses a lot on the reading needs of the elderly, minors and special groups. The library features a complete range of books, massive digital resources, diverse reading formats, and colorful activities for readers.

Yiwu Cultural Center

The main building of the Yiwu Cultural Center, namely the "City Gift Box" of the Yiwu Cultural Plaza, was designed by the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Zhejiang University. The building was awarded at the 31st World Architecture Festival.

The cultural center, with a construction area of 31,133 square meters, includes theaters, art exhibition halls, intangible cultural heritage exhibition halls, photo studios, multiple training classrooms, a sunken square and a large garden terrace.

It is a modern cultural facility with complete functions and diverse services. The public cultural center serves more than 200,000 people annually.
