Yiwu prepares for visitors during National Day holiday

People's enthusiasm for travelling is rising in China as the upcoming week-long National Day holiday approaches.
Locals in Yiwu are encouraged to take short-distance tours in the coming holiday due to the effective COVID-19 containment measures. Many campsites in the city have received increasing reservations.
People who would like to enjoy the beauty of nature and have a family tour can go to the Yiwu Botanical Garden and Senshan Health Town.
Senshan Health Town, located at No 1 Tongshan Avenue, Yiting town, Yiwu, is home to 1,111 petrified trees, which are actually fossils from millions of centuries ago that have been moved there from all over the globe. Visitors are able to learn the development process of Dendrobium officinale, one of the China's most precious medicinal herbs.

Fenshuitang village in Chengxi sub-district is also an internet-famous scenic area for red tourism. The village is the birthplace of Chen Wangdao, the translator and scholar who completed China's first translation of The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels in 1920, one year before the founding of the Communist Party of China.
Visitors can also experience traditional intangible cultural heritages and handicraft projects, including plant dyeing, paper cutting, bamboo weaving, straw weaving, and wood carving at the Baigongfang Research Base in Fenshuitang village.
The ancient villages and streets of Yiwu, including Fotang Old Street and Chouyan village, feature many wooden buildings and halls that provide visitors with a unique experience of ancient culture in Yiwu.
