Yazhi village in Yiwu, Zhejiang province is a thousand-year-old mountain village preserving the city's forgotten history, folk customs, and business traditions.
Encircled by the Longxi River and the Fenghuang mountains, Yazhi village has managed to maintain its original looks with the natural barracks. It still boasts 43 historical relics, 28 of which were granted with municipal or national certificates.
The village's name comes from its old business center, Yazhi Street, which was an important transportation hub for traveling merchants heading for Jinhua, Lanxi, and Quzhou.
