Residents of Yiwu and Huaihua can now access administrative service items such as identity certificates, social security, medical insurance, driver's licenses, and business registration in each other's cities as authorities have integrated such services, according to local media reports.

Yiwu, a county-level city in East China's Zhejiang province, is about a 7-hour drive from Huaihua in Central China's Hunan province.

The availability of these cross-provincial services will provide greater convenience to more than 37,000 people from Huaihua who are working in Yiwu, a local official said.

Yiwu has in recent years been actively promoting inter-provincial handling of frequently processed administrative services. To date, the city has reached agreements with 32 cities in and out of Zhejiang to facilitate the handling of high-demand government affairs services.
