Yiwu cosmetics enterprises receive orders at overseas fair

A total of 21 enterprises based in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province headed for Singapore in mid-November, the first business group organized by the local government to go overseas since the epidemic began.
The business group attended a special edition of Cosmoprof Asia 2022, one of the largest and most influential beauty exhibitions in the Asia-Pacific region, which took place from Nov 16 to 18.
During the event, the Yiwu business group received over 460 buyers and orders worth over 20 million yuan ($2.95 million).

A director of Zhejiang Meeue Cosmetics Co was excited to go abroad and meet customers after three years, noting that the company received over 50 new buyers at the event, more than half of which were first-time customers. In addition, they learned about the latest trends in the industry, making the trip a worthwhile experience.
Cosmetics enterprises in Yiwu are mainly engaged in the production of make-up products, leading to the city gaining a reputation as China's base of make-up products. To date, there are more than 170 companies in the industry that have obtained cosmetics production licenses, mainly export-oriented.
