Yiwu Airport saw the inaugural flight of the new Yiwu-Tianfu International Airport route by Sichuan Airlines on May 11.

The Yiwu-Tianfu International Airport route, which has one flight per day, is operated by Sichuan Airlines.

Flight 3U6989 departs Chengdu Tianfu at 5:10 pm and arrives at Yiwu Airport at 7:45 pm, while flight 3U6990 departs Yiwu Airport at 8:30 pm and arrives at Chengdu Tianfu at 11:30 pm. There are now four flights per day from Yiwu to Chengdu.

Chengdu has a rich cultural heritage dating back more than 4,500 years, with over 2,300 years of city-building history. It is the only city in the world that has both wild and captive giant pandas.
