640 China-Europe freight trains depart from Yiwu in Jan-April

Yiwu in East China's Zhejiang province operated 640 China-Europe freight trains carrying a combined 52,992 TEUs, up 29.7 percent year-on-year, local media reported on May 15.
The China-Europe freight train currently covers over 160 cities in more than 50 countries in Eurasia.
China State Railway Group Co Ltd said the number of China-Europe freight train journeys surged 15 percent year-on-year to 4,186 trips in the first three months.
To support the high-quality development of the China-Europe freight train service, Yiwu Customs has taken innovative measures to improve the effectiveness of site management and customs clearance, said Zhou Huawei, deputy director of the supervision department of Yiwu Customs.
