Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight train 'JD Express' begins operating

The "JD Express," a China-Europe freight train on the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route, set sail from Yiwu towards Duisburg, Germany on June 12.

The China-Europe freight trains on the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route have long played an indispensable role in Sino-European trade. JD Logistics, as a leading logistics service provider in China, boasts a vast customer base and powerful supply chain capabilities.

Since 2016, JD Logistics has been making use of the China-Europe freight trains on the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe route to regularly transport high-quality domestic goods, such as home textiles, furniture, toys, apparel, and outdoor products, to the European market.

As of June 11, the Yiwu platform of the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe freight service had operated a total of 836 trains this year, setting a new record in total shipment volume with a year-on-year growth of 21.7 percent. A total of more than 5,800 trains with a shipment volume surpassing 480,000 twenty-foot equivalent units have operated on the route.
