Yiwu in Zhejiang province recently announced that the city will host 12 expos in the third quarter of this year.

The 2023 Autumn Car Buying Festival, 2023 Yiwu International Industrial Expo, 2023 Yiwu International Sports Goods Expo, and 2023 Yiwu International Pet and Aquarium Supplies Exhibition will be held at the Yiwu International Expo Center from Aug 26 to 27, September 3 to 5, September 12 to14, and September 25 to 27, respectively.

The 2023 Yiwu International Pet and Aquarium Supplies Exhibition, with the tagline "Yiwu in the World, World of Pets," is expected to receive over 20,000 professional visitors and cover an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters with 400 international standard booths.

Yiwu is one of China's largest sellers of pet supplies. Over 80 percent of products are exported to Europe, the Americas, Asia, and other regions, accounting for approximately 10 percent of China's total pet supply exports.

In the first half of this year, Yiwu held a series of local exhibitions, resulting in a cumulative intended transaction value of 3.7 billion yuan ($510.7 million), a 105 percent increase over 2019.

Meanwhile, these trade shows have spurred the development of industries such as hotels, restaurants, and logistics. The city's hotel occupancy rate has grown by over 8 percent compared to the average of previous years.
