The China-South Korea Consolidation Line (Yiwu-Shandong-South Korea) has dispatched over 80 vehicles and shipped more than 6,300 cubic meters of cargo from May 23 to June 29.
The entire process, which previously took around a week, has been reduced to a "3-day express" service, effectively doubling cargo turnover efficiency for businesses.
The China-South Korea Consolidation Center currently sees an average of two to three heavy-duty 14-meter-long container trucks loaded with Yiwu small commodities departing for ports in Weihai, Rizhao, Qingdao, and Yantai in Shandong province.
After reaching South Korea's Incheon and Pyeongtaek ports via ferry, the goods go through customs clearance and are delivered to customers in South Korea.
The Yiwu-South Korea "3-day express" service integrates the efficient transportation network between Yiwu and Shandong, the rapid ferry services between Shandong and South Korea, and the last-mile delivery capabilities of South Korea.
In 2022, the total value of trade between Yiwu and South Korea reached 10.9 billion yuan ($1.55 billion), a year-on-year increase of 65.3 percent. Exports were valued at 8.08 billion yuan, while imports amounted to 2.82 billion yuan, with growth rates of 44.4 percent and 183 percent, respectively.
