Yiwu International Trade Market achieves 112.65b yuan in transactions in H1

In the first half of 2023, 2,945 commercial markets in Zhejiang province recorded transactions worth 1.09 trillion yuan ($151 billion), with the Yiwu International Trade Market achieving transactions reaching 112.65 billion yuan, up 12.7 percent year-on-year.

Since the beginning of this year, the daily footfall at the Yiwu International Trade Market has reached an astounding 200,000 visitors, with over 2,000 foreign merchants entering the market on a daily basis.

During the period, the market sent out over 1.8 million electronic invitations to global buyers, providing comprehensive support in aspects such as product selection, accommodation, and dining.

From January to June, it hosted more than 20 drainage activities, including five overseas exhibitions in Dubai, Spain, Thailand, Indonesia, and South Korea, engaging with a total of 1.06 million potential buyers.

For the latter half of the year, Yiwu plans to strengthen efforts in attracting more buyers, organizing vertical industry exhibitions, product launches, and international trade matchmaking events to boost market prosperity.

The Yiwu International Trade Market also aims to expand its presence abroad, with initiatives like the development of overseas warehouses and exhibition centers, propelling its brand onto the global stage and spreading its influence worldwide.
