The 7th Yiwu Emergency Skills Competition concluded at the Yiwu Emergency Center on July 19, as the Hangzhou Asian Games countdown reached 66 days.
Themed "Welcoming the Asian Games, strengthening skills, and demonstrating excellence," the competition consisted of three parts: a theoretical examination, an ambulance driving skills competition, and a simulated emergency medical skills competition.
During the competition, participants demonstrated their collaboration and teamwork in handling various emergent situations, including traumatic injuries, cardiovascular accidents, and electric shocks.
Judges evaluated their performance based on the rationality of the emergency procedures, accuracy of operations, and cooperation among team members.
Cheng Bin, an emergency doctor from Yiwu Central Hospital's emergency department, secured the first prize in the pre-hospital emergency physician category. He demonstrated his team's active participation in emergency rescue training.
An authority with the Yiwu Emergency Center stated that as the Hangzhou Asian Games approaches such competitions play a crucial role in boosting the readiness of emergency responders and elevating the overall emergency medical service levels.
