The Zhejiang (Yiwu) National Standard Technical Review Center announced on Aug 12 that during the first half of 2023, 18 enterprises from Yiwu participated in the revision of 25 national standards.

Yiwu Jinlong Yijing Supply Chain Services Co participated in the formulation of national standard GB/T 42725-2023 "Specifications for International Trade Business Processes – Verified Gross Mass of Packed Containers."

This is the first time a Yiwu enterprise has been involved in the establishment of national logistics standards and it is expected to elevate the Yiwu logistics and trade sector's standing on a national industry level.

Established in 2019, the Zhejiang (Yiwu) National Standard Technical Review Center is one of only two national standard technical review centers in the country. As of June, the center had completed assessments for 326 national standard projects and conducted technical reviews on 227 national standards.

In order to foster broader business involvement in the revision of national standards, the Review Center conducts research into the challenges and requirements facing local enterprises in engaging with the national standard revision process.

"Helping businesses partake in the revision of national standards not only helps them identify development directions but also improves Yiwu's innovative market practices and unique trading approaches," said a staff member of the Review Center.

"The consistent guidance from the Review Center has enabled us to smoothly address intricate professional challenges encountered in the revision of national standards. Contributing to standard drafting is advantageous for businesses seeking to seize upon market opportunities," said Jin Xufeng, head of Zhejiang Yijingtong E-commerce Co.
