Enterprises from Yiwu, Zhejiang province, attended the 2023 Indonesia ASEAN Stationery and Gifts Expo, or the 2023 Indonesia Stationery Fair, on Aug 18.

The 2023 Indonesia Stationery Fair is being organized by the Yiwu Cultural Supplies Industry Association. Spanning from Nov 30 to Dec 2 in Jakarta, Indonesia, the fair occupies 5,000 square meters and boasts 208 international standard booths.

During the draw to rent exhibition areas, the inaugural group of 94 participating enterprises reserved a total of 179 exhibition spaces.

Xu Chaoyue, a Yiwu merchant, secured the right to pick four booths through a drawing of lots. "I've chosen a prime location with high foot traffic. This will ensure maximum attention, heightened product exposure, and favorable brand promotion," said Xu.

Indonesia, as the largest economy within ASEAN and the fourth most populous nation globally, has maintained a consistent economic growth rate of five percent.

With a 2022 GDP of $1.28 trillion, Indonesia ranks 16th in the world, while its purchasing power secures the 8th position, affirming its stature as one of Southeast Asia's most critical and vibrant markets.

"The Southeast Asian market constitutes 10 percent of our overall exports. This endeavor targets three goals: market expansion, showcasing novel products, and cultivating new clientele," said Xu, envisioning broadening the horizons of foreign markets.
