China International Fair for Trade in Services showcases Yiwu elements

The 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services, held from September 2 to 6, attracted over 2,200 companies from 28 countries and regions.
Several elements of Yiwu, Zhejiang province were showcased at the China International Fair for Trade in Services, including Yiwu Pay.
At the Yiwu Pay booth, a worker introduced cross-border payment solutions, stating, "We offer global cross-border payment services for businesses. When a company opens an account with us, they can receive payments in over 20 major global currencies. "
"Yiwu Pay has established connections with more than 400 leading banks, serving over 100 countries and regions."
Zhang Wenjing, vice-general manager of Yiwu Pay, stressed that as the pace of economic globalization accelerates, there is growing demand for cross-border payments among businesses.
"We hope to assist foreign trade enterprises, especially small and medium-sized businesses, in reducing transaction barriers and transitioning from traditional foreign trade to digital foreign trade," Zhang said.
Another highlight of the event was the debut of the Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center at booth S4B005-S4B006.
The Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center represents the culmination of Yiwu's experience and resources, with a total planned investment of 8.32 billion yuan ($1.14 billion). The center adopts a centralized layout, comprising market spaces, a digital hub, office buildings, commercial districts, and an apartment area.
