Yiwu Customs' officer Gong Qian reviewed a customs declaration for the export of sporting equipment, including dumbbell sets, to Vietnam using the market procurement trade model.
With the approaching Hangzhou Asian Games, a fitness and sports craze has swept across Asian countries. According to Qian Gong, in recent months, Yiwu has witnessed a continuous increase in the export of sporting goods.
As the export peak arrives, there is a growing demand for customs clearance efficiency.
To assist local businesses in expanding into overseas markets, Yiwu Customs continues to deepen the implementation of 16 measures to optimize the business environment, offering 24/7 appointment customs clearance.
Meanwhile, the promotion of the "intelligent review + self-printing" of certificates of origin ensures the smooth and rapid export of sporting equipment during peak periods.
According to Yiwu Customs' statistics, from January to August this year, sporting equipment exports from Yiwu amounted to 5.08 billion yuan ($695.9 million), representing a growth of 33 percent.
