The inaugural Yiwu International Pet and Aquarium Supplies Exhibition opened at the Yiwu International Expo Center on Sept 25.

This three-day event has attracted over 300 renowned domestic pet industry brands and manufacturing companies, showcasing their products across 400 international-standard booths covering an expansive exhibition area of 10,000 square meters.

The diverse array of exhibits includes pet accessories, pet food, aquarium supplies, live animals, pet health products, and cross-border trade platforms.

The event has drawn more than 300 foreign buyers from over 40 countries, with an estimated attendance of over 20,000 professional visitors.

Yiwu, renowned as a global hub for small commodities, boasts one of the nation's largest pet product trading bases. Its products are exported to high-end markets in Europe and the United States, contributing to more than 2 billion yuan ($273.8 million) in annual sales, which accounts for 10 percent of the national total for pet product exports.
