The Yiwu International Food Service Center was recently inaugurated, offering services to international dining establishments across the city.
Yiwu, renowned as the global hub for small commodities, sees an annual influx of over 500,000 foreign merchants, with more than 13,000 foreign businesspeople hailing from over 100 countries and regions establishing a permanent presence in the city.
Located in the heart of Yiwu's main urban area, Choucheng subdistrict has emerged as the epicenter of cultural and leisure activities within the city. Within its jurisdiction, there are 35 foreign restaurants representing 16 different countries, including Egypt, Turkey, and India.
The establishment of the Yiwu International Food Service Center holds significant implications for enhancing food safety standards within Yiwu's international dining industry. It also signifies the implementation of a more scientifically structured management system for food safety in the international dining sector.
In addition to its role as an international food service center, the center is expected to offer international guests more convenient and expeditious services, including business consultations, procedural assistance, and dispute resolution. This initiative aims to provide a more favorable business environment for international entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, Yiwu extends an invitation to foreigners to join the Food Safety Supervisors' Volunteer Service Team, offering translation, oversight, feedback, and other volunteer services to support grassroots self-governance initiatives.
