The first smart data warehouse was put into use in the Yiwu Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Yiwu, East China's Zhejiang province, on Oct 27.

The facility is expected to greatly enhance the utilization rate of the bonded logistics zone and the efficiency of warehouse logistics, bringing the zone into the digital empowerment era of bonded warehousing 2.0.

The warehouse is expected to realize the full-process intelligent operation of imported goods, including warehousing, storage, outbound, labeling, packaging, and shipping, which will reduce the workload of operators, increase operational efficiency by 50 percent, double storage capacity, and simultaneously reduce error rates and accidents caused by manual operations, achieving timely, efficient, and safe logistics throughout the process.
