The 2024 Spring Festival Gala for Chinese and Foreigners was held in Yiwu, a county-level city of Jinhua on Jan 22.

A total of 135 foreign delegates from 37 countries and nearly a hundred representatives from various sectors of Yiwu society gathered to discuss the development of the city.

During the gala, the municipal foreign affairs office elaborated on Yiwu's investment attraction policies and extended invitations to global buyers, aiming to jumpstart a prosperous first quarter.

Together, Chinese and foreign representatives presented a rich array of cultural performances, including the play "New Year's Greetings with Idioms," Russian circle dance, Latin dance, and more.

Yiwu, known as the "World's Supermarket," has attracted a large number of foreign traders for trade procurement, with over 200,000 people entering the market for purchases daily, including 21,000 foreign traders.

In a deepening integration with the Belt and Road Initiative, Yiwu has opened new trade routes, launched the Yiwu-South Korea transshipment center, and expanded its international network to 23 countries and 37 cities.

Additionally, the city has introduced ten measures to optimize its international business environment and foreign services, striving to create conditions for foreign traders to conduct trade, investment, work, and life in Yiwu more conveniently.
