The latest data from the General Administration of Customs shows that Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center had a total import and export volume of 11.13 billion yuan ($1.55 billion) in 2023, up 9.5 percent year-on-year. It now ranks fourth among 84 bonded logistics centers in China, one place higher than the previous year.

Its total import volume was 10.71 billion yuan, an uptick of 10.1 percent year-on-year, ranking third in China.

Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center focused on importing high value-added products in 2023, such as machinery and equipment, non-ferrous metals, and big-brand beauty products. It attracted seven new enterprises through precise investment promotion, bringing the total number of enterprises in the area to 77 and creating both a cross-border e-commerce brand cluster and a general trade goods transit station.

Yiwu Bonded Logistics Center also used the Yixin'ou (Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe) freight line and the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port Area linkage system to improve its import product structure.

The proportion of cross-border e-commerce imports increased to 44 percent last year, and imported goods expanded to more than 3,000 categories and 20,000 stock keeping units, covering many products such as big-brand beauty products, maternal and infant milk powder, red wine and nuts.
